Internet Data Exchange (also referred to as “Broker Reciprocity) allows brokerage firms and agents that are in the MLS to display each other’s listings on their own Internet websites.

We offer three IDX solutions here at the Manatee Association of REALTORS®…the first two being “smart-frame” URLs (links), which are “ready-to-go” options. Participants can easily add these to their existing websites. The first solution is offered through the Florida Association of REALTORS®. The second is offered directly through our Rapattoni MLS system. The third option is for brokers only, and involves downloading raw MLS data, so that the broker may develop their own IDX solution. All solutions are offered at no charge.

The Florida Association of REALTORS® provides an IDX solution for their REALTOR® members. Search results would yield properties from much of the state of Florida, depending on which MLS’ you belong. The smart-frame links are already set up for each member and each firm. You will simply need to lookup the URL (link) to add this to your website. To look it up, follow these steps…

FAR IDX:

• Go to http://fl.living.net
• Click on “Find a REALTOR” or “Find a Real
  Estate Firm”, depending on if you are setting up an IDX link for an agent or
  for a firm.
• Look yourself or your firm up in the roster
  list.
• When you find it, click on your name or your
  company name to bring up your FAR profile.
• Scroll down to the very bottom of this page. 
  Look for the section titled “Direct Address For This Page”.  Directly
  under this, you will see a website URL (link), such as “http://fl.living.net/realtor/1234567″
  for an agent or “http://fl.living.net/firm/1234567″ for a firm.  Write
  this link down or copy-and-paste the link into your website, with one
  modification.  You must add the letters “idx” directly before the word
  “Realtor” (agent sites) or “Firm” (firm sites), so the final link will look
  like…

Note: If your IDX does not appear to work after following these steps, your Broker may not have given the proper access for agents within your office.  Each broker for each office needs to log into www.floridarealtors.org and go to their Company Profile.  They then click on the IDX button on the left and place a checkmark in the box that
